Final Fantasy 14 has been through some major highs and lows, what was once a poorly received game at launch went through a complete remake and eventually became one of the most popular MMOs of all time. It also saw its fair share of good and bad expansions over the years. Most recently, it was revealed that the game won't be able to support PS4 for much longer.
The constant behind all of this has been game director Naoki "Yoshi-P" Yoshida. Perhaps the biggest thing that fans of Final Fantasy 14 will be dreading is the day that Yoshi-P decides to step down from his role. It's hard to imagine the game's future without Yoshi-P, but thankfully, he says there's still a lot for him to do.
In a conversation with Noisy Pixel (via GamesRadar), Yoshi-P revealed that he's not going to get bored of working on Final Fantasy 14 anytime soon. While personal feelings and passion are one thing, he said that working on the game is also his job and that even if his feelings change, being an employee of Square Enix is still enough motivation to keep him on.
