Two new Game Boy Advance titles were announced for inclusion in the Nintendo Switch Online retro games library, and they herald the end of an interesting chapter in the subscription service's emulation offerings. Up until now, the GBA games available through NSO have been exclusively published by Nintendo, but that will change in September.

Nintendo revealed two new titles coming to the Game Boy Advance Nintendo Classics library: Mr. Driller 2 and Klonoa: Empire of Dreams. Both games were originally published by Namco, making Mr. Driller 2 and Klonoa: Empire of Dreams the first two third-party-published Game Boy Advance games to be included in the NSO retro emulation library. Both new additions will be added to the GBA collection on September 25, 2025, for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers.

Namco has the honor of breaking the Nintendo barrier for Switch Online's Game Boy Advance library. Mr. Driller 2 was originally released in 2000, and is a rather straightforward puzzle game.
