The upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X/S ports of Final Fantasy 7 Remake will add new difficulty options to the game, making it considerably easier than it already is.

Final Fantasy 7 was a turn-based game with the option to pause when it was a party member’s turn. When Final Fantasy 7 Remake was revealed to be an action RPG, it drastically changed the gameplay style, which meant that specific difficulty options were introduced for those who don’t enjoy that genre.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is making the jump to Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X/S in 2026, and it will come with new options. According to Gamespot, these “Streamlined Progression” options make the game almost impossible to lose.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Will Become Far Easier With New Update

The new options introduced include things like always having max HP, constantly hitting for max damage, and infinite money. With these switched on, the game will become a cake walk, with the mighty Sephiroth instantly falling to the lightest tap from Cloud’s sword.
