Alex Jordan, Who Was In The Gollum Game, Comforts The MindsEye Star Who's Worried About His Career

One day after Alex Hernandez, the voice of Jacob Diaz in MindsEye, the worst-reviewed game of 2025, lamented that he thought "he might never work in a game again" due to how poorly the title was received, another voice actor behind a bad game has stepped up to offer some words of encouragement.

In a post on Twitter, Alex Jordan, who happened to have a supporting role in Lord of the RIngs: Gollum, another poorly-reviewed game from 2023 that many could not believe was even sold, let Hernandez know that his career isn't exactly over after MindsEye.

Since having a role in Gollum, Jordan has since gone on to voice the male version of Rook in Veilguard, plus a role in Split Fiction, per Behind the Voice Actors. Not bad considering how awful Gollum was received.

As multiple commenters on Jordan's post noted, badly received games are sometimes par for the course when it comes to voice actors. After all, they can only do so much with their voice, and can't save poor gameplay, optimization or a bad story.
