Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is out next week, but the reviews are already in. On the whole, critics loved it, and it's in joint first for having the highest Metacritic score of all of Sonic's racing game outings.
I was one of those critics, giving CrossWorlds a score of 4.5/5. While I played, I scooped up a bunch of Gadgets and played around with different builds - and found that one very bizarrely makes an entire group of vehicles pretty much useless.
Admittedly, this is subjective, but I am sure I won't be alone in feeling that Power vehicles are the worst of the bunch. The only real benefit I found is that you can bash into the wall without losing your rings, which does come in handy... so you might as well get a Gadget that gives you that same effect, no matter what vehicle you're using.
If you want that effect, use the Bumper Guard Gadget. This means you won't drop a single ring, no matter who you're playing as and no matter what vehicle they're using.
