Team Cherry might not want to tell us outright which Hollow Knight: Silksong crest is the most powerful, but one skilled YouTuber has officially figured it out.
One of the best parts of Hollow Knight: Silksong's gameplay loop that elevates it above other Metroidvanias is its Crests, which give Hornet completely different playstyles to mess around with. From the starter Hunter crest that has the diagonal pogo that everyone hates to the Architect crest and its focus on tools, Hornet has a ton of variety if you're up for experimenting.
Of course, while all the crests are different from one another, there are some that seem categorically worse (like the Beast) or better than the others (hello Hunter). Silksong doesn't actually tell you the stats of each crest, but one fan has figured which of them is the most powerful based on their damage per second potential.
As pointed out by GamesRadar+, YouTuber Visic recently did god's work by crunching the DPS numbers for each crest in Hollow Knight: Silksong. The analysis was done by using a mod that displays health bars, and then seeing how much damage each crest can do with its attacks.
