Silent Hill f's Review Scores Almost Measure Up To The High Bar Set By Silent Hill 2 Remake

Silent Hill 2's fantastic remake thrust the series back into the spotlight last year and proved the games remain a benchmark for the horror genre in video games. The true test for Silent Hill in the modern era would be whether an entirely new installment in the series can hit just as hard, and with the Silent Hill f review scores starting to filter in, it seems as if Konami has managed to achieve that.

Reviews for Silent Hill f have been going live for a little over an hour and, as it stands, the new entry, which is as removed from the core games as a Silent Hill has ever been, currently has an 85 on OpenCritic. Not only is that score incredibly impressive considering the risk Konami has taken with the Silent Hill series via this new game, but it's only two points shy of the 87 that Silent Hill 2's remake settled on almost a year ago.
