The existence of Stardew Valley's next update isn't new, but recent comments by ConcernedApe certainly are. The aspiring Haunted Chocolatier dev has been putting out free content updates for Stardew's global audience — and the latest venture in this regard isn't coming soon.
With update 1.7 largely just known as 'a thing which exists, and little else', and with Stardew Valley's audience as big as it is, you're naturally going to get a lot of people hungry for scraps of information. A hint here, a tease there, anything to stave off the madness that consumed Hollow Knight fans for a while.
Staring down the barrel of all that nonsense, ConcernedApe offers a more level-headed approach. "I just don't want too much hype at this point," he writes in reply to a fan asking for sneak peeks. "It's going to be a while before the update is ready."
