It's been a while since we've last had a Shōnen Jump crossover fighter. Since Jump Force was unceremoniously shut down in 2022, we've not heard any word about a new title. That's especially odd considering the franchises that weren't in Jump Force, like Demon Slayer, Jujutsu Kaisen and Chainsaw Man, have exploded in popularity, and the franchises that were (One Piece, Dragon Ball and My Hero Academia) have all had major developments resulting in new characters and forms.

In other words, it's a noticeable absence. But that could soon change, at least we think it could.

As first spotted on Reddit's r/GamingLeaksAndRumours sub, a new trademark filed by Bandai Namco for the title of "World Fighters" has fans speculating that it could be related to a potential new Shōnen Jump crossover fighter. The trademark was handled in the U.S. and EU, and it follows a similar filing for "Dream Match" in Japan.
