Hideo Kojma hosted an event this morning to celebrate ten years of Kojima Productions. The Metal Gear Solid developer revealed more about upcoming projects including OD: Knock and Physint, and also provided updates on various Death Stranding adaptations. Plus, on top of everything else he's been up to, Kojima has been working on an entirely new game alongside Pokemon Go creators, Niantic.
Even though the game doesn't appear to have a name yet, it was revealed via a debut trailer that ran for more than two minutes. The trailer challenges players to "move beyond the screen" and shows a man wandering through the world, scanning things in real-life locations with their phone.
What exactly the goal of the game will be remains unclear, but it's being developed alongside Niantic Spatial, the tech company that, while still directly connected to Pokemon Go's creators, hence the name, is the result of the studio splitting into two earlier this year. Not only does the game not have a name, but it also wasn't given a release date, despite it ending on the message "the future starts today".
