Avatar Game Gets New Thematic DLC Coinciding With Fire & Ash Movie

On Tuesday, September 23rd, seemingly in conjunction with the upcoming re-release of Avatar: The Way of Water into theaters starting on Friday, October 3rd, Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment announced that Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will receive a brand-new DLC expansion on Friday, December 19th, called From the Ashes.

This DLC launch will coincide with the United States premiere of the third Avatar film, Avatar: Fire and Ash on December 19th, and its contents will directly build on events from the anticipated film.

From the Ashes will be sold for $19.99 for those who already own Frontiers, but for gamers who haven't picked up the game yet, they'll be able to purchase a From the Ashes Edition of Frontiers, which will include the base game and the upcoming expansion for $39.99.

From the Ashes is Frontiers' third expansion, following 2024's The Sky Breaker and Secrets of the Spires, but it is the first to allow players to embody a different character aside from Frontiers' main customizable Sarentu Na'Vi called So'lek, who previously served as an NPC in Frontiers.
