It might be time to whip out the review bomb cape, as Helldivers 2 has dropped back down to 'Mixed' reviews on Steam as the community desperately tries to draw attention to the severe performance problems on PC.
"Hey uhm, Arrowhead? Why are we facing the bugs on two fronts?" reads one review. "Why does this bluescreen some people's PC, while mine runs fine for roughly 2 hours before it just crashes?"
With a file size of over 140GB, and reports of performance worsening with every single content drop, it was only a matter of time before the game finally crumbled under its own weight. And judging by the Steam reviews, that's exactly what happened.
Stuttering, freezing, crashing, frequent disconnects, audio cutouts—the list goes on, as Helldivers 2 has become borderline unplayable for much of its community.
"I love the game, but right now it is in an almost unplayable state," writes Sardarji154. "In a few months, it went from being able to run max settings to stuttering and freezing on low."
