Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds technically hasn't been released yet, but due to the early access included with its deluxe edition, a lot of people have been racing around at the speed of sound for the last few days. Seems like they're having a good time doing it too, as the new Sonic racer already has an overwhelmingly positive rating on Steam.
Overwhelmingly positive is the highest rating a game can achieve on Steam. Of the 1,809 reviews early access players have left for CrossWorlds so far, 98 percent of them are positive. A game needs to have received 500 reviews and for 95 percent of those reviews to be positive for a game to achieve that rating, so CrossWorlds comfortably clears that bar.
That gives it a little bit of wiggle room, ready for a lot more reviews to start pouring in when CrossWorlds gets its full launch tomorrow. While it will take a gargantuan effort from the blue blur and his supporting cast to maintain a score of 98 percent once the floodgates open, at this early stage, there don't appear to be any major problems with CrossWorlds.
