Street Fighter is a franchise that has made a ton of characters across its multiple games, but only a few of them managed to be a part of history. The best example of this is Chun Li and Ken, thanks to Justin Wong and Diago Umehara, when they created EVO moment 37, which isn't just significant for SF but arguably for fighting games as a whole.
Even though C. Viper may not be as popular as Chun Li or Ken, she has competitive lore. Latif, a Guilty Gear pro, grinded 8 to 9 hours a day to master C. Viper, who at the time wasn't the most meta character but had certain very difficult mechanics that were highly rewarding. This led to him defeating legends like Tokido, Daigo Umehara, and even Poongko.
Now, with Sagat already being out since August, C. Viper will be the second Street Fighter 6 Year 3 character releasing next month, along with Zangief's outfit 4.
