We haven't seen anything from Marvel's Wolverine in four years, and even then, we were only shown a brief clip of Logan's back in a Madripoor bar. But at today's State of Play, Insomniac finally 'popped the claws' and gave us a better look at its upcoming superhero escapade, confirming that it's launching in Fall 2026.
The new gameplay trailer is every bit as gory as fans had hoped, as Insomniac appears to have taken the bones of Spider-Man and cracked them in two for a more R-rated affair. Wolverine is shown carving through flesh like it's gushing red butter, sending limbs flying in all directions to the backdrop of several iconic Marvel landmarks. We even see his healing factor in action, with skin growing over his adamantium skull.
But it's not just visceral combat on display; Logan leaps across rooftops and jumps from a motorcycle onto a moving train in what looks to be an Uncharted-style setpiece. It's clear from the footage alone that this will be a more linear outing than the Spider-Man games, likely drawing from Insomniac's history of semi-open spaces and more on-rail segments with the Ratchet & Clank series.
