Hades 2's Review Are Here, And They're Just As Glowing As The First Game's

Hades 2 is here. Or, rather, it's fully here. While the sequel to Supergiant Games' 2020 tour de force did launch in Early Access last year, the complete package arrives tomorrow, September 25. Folks who have previously sampled the game will largely be in agreement that it's by no means a sophomore slump, but critics' reviews are pouring in, and - shocker of shockers - they're stellar.

In fact, they're just as stellar as Hades' reviews. On OpenCritic, Hades 2 weighs in at 93 as of this writing versus the first game's 94. Oh Metacritic, however, the scores are reversed: 93 for Hades versus 94 for Hades 2. Jumble them together, and what do you have? Yet, indeed, even if the sequel didn't quite snag that spectacular identical overall digit, just gracing the 90s range is a spectacularly rare achievement in this industry. Props to the devs - you did it in spades.

"Topping the original Hades was a damn near impossible feat," DualShockers' review states with not an ounce of exaggeration, "but Supergiant Games pulled it off."
