FBC: Firebreak has been in a rough place ever since it launched, but Remedy is looking to change that soon with a big patch.
The publisher first announced a major update to the game coming this month back in July that aims to completely overhaul almost every part of it, in hopes of salvaging its incredibly low player numbers.
In Remedy’s words, from the news post on the game’s Steam store page, the patch will “Improve everything about the FBC: Firebreak experience,” and will add more variety to jobs, overhaul the new player experience, gun mods, new weapons and enemies, and more.
The new update is called Breakpoint, and it will be launching on September 29.

Breakpoint will include new ideas from Remedy themselves as well as incorporating feedback from the community.
One big change coming with the patch is replacing the Job selection screen with the Crisis Board, and Jobs with Crises, in order to better align with what they call the “first-responder fantasy” that FBC: Firebreak is meant to evoke.
