Sharing frustrations and grievances with the newest entry in the long-running Civilization franchise is like a rite of passage for every new entry.
Civ 6 was incredibly divisive at launch, but over time, it became just as beloved as other entries in the iconic franchise.
Civ 7, however, is different. In my review, I admitted that somewhere in the foundation of the newest entry is a game I can spend well over 1,000 hours with, but at launch, there were just too many issues that needed addressing.
Now here we are, several months later, and it feels like little has changed. There are some core issues within Civ 7 that have prevented me from playing it as much as I'd like, and its reception is still mixed at best.
