A Steam listing for Habbo Hotel: Origins has randomly popped up, revealing that the bizarre online game is getting a classic version similar to World of Warcraft and RuneScape.
If you're a very late '90s kid like me, then chances are you grew up in the golden age of online social games like Club Penguin, Poptropica, Bin Weevils, and, a little too late for my time, Moshi Monsters. While all of those examples were very kid-centric, there was one website that was a little more grown-up - Habbo Hotel.
Back in my day (god, that's depressing), Habbo Hotel was the cool kids' pick for an online game, which was definitely reflected in some of the iffy things that went on there.
