So far, Hasbro's gambit of partnering up with massive IP Magic: The Gathering crossovers has paid off, much to the chagrin of some of the playerbase. While Final Fantasy has been a massive seller for them overall, there are plenty of other franchises to mine, and records can always be broken. That could be the case, seeing some of the new set announcements coming out of Magic Con, which is being held this week in Atlanta, Georgia.

Wizards of the Coast has just revealed multiple sets coming in 2026 on X, which include the likes of Marvel Super Heroes, The Hobbit, and Star Trek. All of these will be released by the end of 2026, among some other "official" non-Universes Beyond sets.

In a shocking move, Wizards of the Coast laid out their entire slate for 2026, which will include multiple IP-based Universes Beyond sets, as well as traditional Magic planes. The festivities kick off in January with Lorwyn Eclipsed.

First released in 2007, Lorwyn is a classic set that draws inspiration from Celtic myths. There are plenty of beautiful creatures and vistas that abound, which should make for some killer art.
