According to HowLongToBeat, the main story of Hollow Knight: Silksong takes around 26 hours to beat, without the side quests. However, it looks like some players are willing to defy that statement, reaching the ending credits in little time.
That is the case of the speedrunner Nebula, who somehow managed to get an Any%, finishing the game in only 58 minutes and 52 seconds. I mean, I’m looking right now at my save file with 78 hours played (I finished it last night with 96%) with the most thoughtful look I have had in years.
Jokes aside, Nebula’s run is extremely impressive, especially because of how fast he defeats tough bosses, such as the Widow (in only 50 seconds) and the first encounter with Lace (in 30 seconds, for God’s sake), while having no Tools equipped. Again, I’m looking at my build based on Pollip Pouch, Cogfly, and Tacks, and thinking: “How?!”.
It is interesting how he repeatedly uses Hornet’s pogo to walk faster throughout the scenarios until he unlocks better abilities – that way, he constantly saves some precious, important seconds.
