Ever since the latest Wolverine trailer dropped, there has been a mountain of comments on social media claiming that the Mystique design is "woke as hell", with some, like controversial Kick streamer Asmongold, even singling out a Concord developer as the reason, even though they've only worked on the new Marvel game for eight months.
So, if you saw Insomniac's post yesterday morning - a pointing forward and clown face emoji - you can take a wild guess at who they're pointing at. And if it wasn't clear that they're calling everyone stirring up drama over Mystique clowns, they replied with another pointing finger, this time next to a blue heart.
Insomniac isn't the only one to point and laugh, either. A post from two days ago on X comparing Mystique to a Concord character blew up, with comments pooling in that called her "Mysterique" and "Manstique", claiming that the team is "allergic to attractive women". But the quotes are almost entirely made up of people dunking on this post, and all the others like it.
