We Now Have Definitive Proof That Thor Was Supposed To Be In Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro

Long before we ever had Marvel's Spider-Man and its sequel, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, as the definitive Spider-Man video games, and before the movie-based Spider-Man 2 or Ultimate Spider-Man existed, the best Spider-Man game was Neversoft's Spider-Man and its sequel, Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro.

That said, when it comes to Enter Electro, for a long time it was rumored that the game was supposed to have an ending cutscene featuring Thor. The scene was allegedly scrapped as the game's finale had to be reworked in the wake of the September 11 terrorist attacks, since the original finale concept took place on top of the World Trade Center.

Flash forward to today, and we now have definitive proof that the God of Thunder was indeed supposed to be in the game.

As first spotted by GamesRadar, via an Instagram post by bobbyfan85, not only has Thor's presence been confirmed, but there's also a full-length cutscene featuring banter between Spidey and Thor.

It's not particularly long, but it is awesome. Much like the other heroes and villains in this universe, Thor is sporting his classic long blonde hair and helmet with wings....
