While Capcom debuted Resident Evil Requiem featuring an all-new protagonist in Grace Ashcroft, rumors swirled around that Leon S. Kennedy, the star of Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 6, would also be headlining the game.
Capcom has never outright denied that Leon will be in the game, but the developers also went out of their way to suggest that Leon won't be in Requiem at all.
Well, it seems the cat's out of the bag today, and the secret got revealed in the worst way possible.

Apparently, IGN managed to get an early look at Leon in Resident Evil Requiem, and in their gamescom show stream from August (which no one noticed until now), talked about the hair tech in Capcom's RE Engine, and name-dropped Leon and how the character's hair is "looking spectacular."
Yep, that's how we find out Leon is in Resident Evil Requiem. Not a leaked screenshot, no leaked footage or anything, but someone from IGN just casually name-dropped the character without a care in the world.
