We have sad news for the Skyrim community this Monday, since Shirley Curry, best known as the “Skyrim Grandma”, just announced that she’s basically retiring from YouTube and will stop uploading gameplay videos.
In the past 15 years, Curry has been one of the most passionate fans of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, playing and uploading videos with many made-up stories of her own. This true adventurer’s life led her to build a good base of regular viewers, end up being recognized by Todd Howard himself, and even being added as a Follower through a mod for the game.
However, it seems that this journey has come to an end. In a recent YouTube video, our beloved “Skyrim Grandma” said that she has grown tired of the experience and is not having fun anymore.
While detailing the reasons that led to her final decision, she highlights the fact that many children have come to leave quick comments on her videos, leaving little room for discussion – and this is not something that she’s looking for.
