Fans Are Review Bombing Silent Hill F On GameStop's Website Over Steelbook Debacle

In case you missed it, Silent Hill f is officially out, and by all accounts, it's a dang good game. TheGamer's Jade King awarded it a 4.5/5 in her review, and the game maintains an 86 on Metacritic. Commercially, it's been a massive success, having sold one million copies in a single day, according to a release from Konami.

That said, not all is peachy in the world of Silent Hill, as those who pre-ordered the game at GameStop in hopes of securing a terrifyingly awesome steelbook have begun review bombing the title due to some extremely limited quantities that have left them without their goodies.

To start, among the many retailers to offer bonuses for pre-ordering, GameStop offered fans who pre-ordered at their store the opportunity to claim a limited-edition steelbook when they went to pick up their order.

Except, the word limited was actually literal, and stores received meager numbers of the bonus, often fewer than the number of orders that were processed. Flash forward to today, and Silent Hill f has a 1.4-star rating on GameStop's website, with players using the platform as a means to air their frustrations with how distribution was...
