EA Was Reportedly Interested In Selling BioWare Following Dragon Age: The Veilguard's Release

Earlier this week, EA confirmed recent reports that it was being acquired by a group of investors for a whopping $55 billion, making it the largest leveraged buyout in history. Understandably, with investors like the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund and Jared Kushner’s Affinity Partners involved, many began to fear for the games they enjoy, worried that their involvement could reduce LGBT representation and spell the doom of any series that isn't a sports title.

Turns out, fans of EA's many studios aren't the only ones worried. According to a new report from Insider Gaming, perpetually-troubled developer BioWare has multiple staff members that are concerned about what this big deal means for the studio. Speaking with the outlet, one staff member said that it "feels like a matter of time" before many of them will need to start looking for new jobs.

Apparently, there's a lot of fear at BioWare right now, with most of those who spoke to Insider Gaming believing that EA will turn to the studio and start laying people off again if it needs to make cuts somewhere.
