One year on from Sonic's popular team-up with Reebok, the hedgehog is back with even more themed footwear, this time giving Puma the chance to create sneakers modeled after various characters from the iconic video game series. The trouble is, all Sonic fans really seem to want is another chance to buy the shoes that were modeled after the ones Sonic actually wears that are probably never coming back.
Sonic, Tails, and Shadow are the three characters selected for footwear duty this year, each of them getting a pair of Puma kicks that will be available to buy starting from October 30, 2025. Sonic's blue sneakers are based on Puma's Inhale design, while the Tails and Shadow designs are reskinned versions of Puma's Inverse sneakers.
Each pair has a color scheme that matches the color of the character they're based on, with matching silhouettes of those same characters on the sneakers' tongues - a big one at the top, and a smaller colored silhouette on the laces. The laces are also threaded through a ring on each shoe that's been designed to look exactly like the rings Sonic has been collecting to keep him alive since 1991.
