Oblivion Remastered's Physical Edition Will Still Require You To Download Content

The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered is undoubtedly going to be on a lot of GOTY lists this year. Newer fans finally got to experience the deeper magic system and the progression system that essentially let you become a god. However, since it was shadowdropped, it never got a physical version.

Now that Bethesda has announced a physical deluxe edition, old fans and new have been waiting to get their hands on it. Oblivion Remastered Deluxe Edition will be released on October 13, with pre-orders being live right now. But a recently spotted detail may dissuade some from getting it. It seems this physical edition will require you to download some content.

As spotted by TweakTown, the box art for the game's PS5 and Xbox Series cases features a note which said "requires content download." At a time when physical copies of games are getting rarer, and considering how old the original game is, fans are once again disappointed that the entire game isn't featured on the disc.

The deluxe edition features bonus weapons, armour and horse armour, but it seems they will have to be downloaded, presumably along with some content for the base game as well....
