After Raising Game Pass Prices, Xbox Also Seems To Have Removed Most Subscriber DLC Discounts

Xbox has been the talk of the game industry this week for all the wrong reasons yet again. A Game Pass restructure means those with Ultimate now have to pay $29.99 a month, a 50 percent price increase and the second time the cost has gone up this year. As the dust from that bombshell is starting to settle, subscribers have noticed the changes also include the removal of DLC discounts.

Before this week's restructuring, Game Pass subscribers were entitled to a ten percent discount on DLC and add-ons. The recently released Order of the Giants, for example, the DLC for Indiana Jones and The Great Circle, was discounted if you had an active Game Pass subscription. Sure, it would be nice to get the DLC for no additional cost along with your Game Pass game, but a discount is better than nothing.

Well, now you get nothing as active Game Pass subscription or not, Indy's DLC is full price. The same applies to Starfield's Shattered Space which, had you bought it as recently as five days ago, would have been ten percent cheaper if you're subscribed to Game Pass.
