Borderlands 4's creative director, Graeme Timmins, has confirmed once and for all how Dedicated Drops work after a fair amount of confusion and "misinformation" from players.
For as long as Borderlands has been around, its main selling point has been the ridiculous number of weapons that players can grind for and hope to wield. The number of guns and amount of potential grinding have only increased with each game, with Borderlands 4 apparently having "billions" of weapons to uncover.
As fun as the looter part of looter-shooter is in Borderlands, players can at least count on Dedicated Drops, which have been around since the first game. Just like the name suggests, Dedicated Drops are weapons that are specifically dropped by certain bosses, giving players a chance to get great loot of various rarities by going up against the same enemy over and over.
Unsurprisingly, Borderlands 4 brings back Dedicated Drops and makes it so that unique weapons are reliably dropped after specific boss encounters. While you'd think that was simple enough, some fans have been a little confused about how exactly they work in Borderlands 4, and whether Dedicated Drops change based on difficulty level.
As pointed out...
