History has told us that's very much not the case, though, and that's being proven by all the renewed arguments about Bluepoint's Demon's Souls remake.
Despite reviewing very well when it launched nearly five years ago at the end of 2020, a lot of FromSoftware fans have rallied against the Demon's Souls remake for how it "butchered" the vibe and visuals of the original game. That's a long-running debate that's popped up several times over the past few years, and it's just been reignited in time for the remake's fifth anniversary.
The debate seems to have been kicked off by Twitter user elbethium, who randomly tweeted that the Demon's Souls remake is "superior to the OG game in every way possible", which is a very strong statement that caught the attention of seemingly every FromSoft fan out there....
