Pokemon drew a lot of flak during the Nintendo Switch era for its outdated and cheap graphics, which many assumed was the fault of technical limitations - the console just wasn't up to snuff for Game Freak's ambition, or so they said. Surely, now, years later, with the more powerful Switch 2, things will change? Unfortunately, not, as Legends Z-A is coming under fire for all of those same reasons.

"I'm gonna be so real, I have seen better walls in PS2 games. Why? Why is it a JPEG?" TiKTok user ga1actism posted to over 200,000 likes. "Every window that you see is just a painted-on texture like it's in fu**ing Loony Tunes."

TikTok user giirakii likewise vented their frustration by showing off a random street in Lumiose City, highlighting just how lifeless it feels given the void of detail. "In a game based wholly in a city, you have to make the city feel good," they explained.
