Sean Murray Teases Yet Another No Man's Sky Update With A Strange Door Emoji

The last No Man's Sky update was released just two months ago, but Sean Murray is already teasing another, as yesterday, he posted a door emoji to X, sending the community into a frenzy of wild, off-the-handle speculation.

Theories range from something as simple as internal doors for corvettes to a portal overhaul, or even something to do with black holes. Others suggest that this might simply be in reference to Halloween - maybe the Geks are going to come knocking, baskets in hand, asking for rasysot.

Another idea put forward by several fans is that Murray might be hinting at a wider base update, even potentially introducing some of Light No Fire's mechanics. But one commenter, u/cparksrun, is opening the door and looking past its wooden frame and steel hinges, as they argue it might be less literal than many are assuming, "Could it be another Oranges/Origins thing? Door rhymes with Moor, More, Sore, Bore... LORE!? A lore heavy update maybe?"
