Marvel Rivals Announces PvE Mode Based On Marvel Zombies, Launching Later This Month

Marvel Rivals has announced a new PvE mode out of nowhere. Based on the recently released Marvel Zombies animated series, the mode will pit Blade, Magik, Punisher, Thor, and Jeff against hordes of undead, and eventually zombie bosses as well. Each of the five will also receive special powers to deal with the undead.

Launching on October 23, this mode will give Marvel Rivals a PvE mode which many fans have been asking for since launch. It's a collaboration with the Marvel Animation team with the aim of boosting the game's player count, as well as promoting the Disney+ series. Not much else is known about this mode for now.

This new mode was announced just a few minutes ago by Marvel Games Executive Producer Danny Koo and Marvel head of streaming, television, and animation, Brad Winderbaum. As mentioned by Koo, each of the heroes will have special powers, like Blade having bouncing Moonblades, Thor having a persistent Awakened state, and Magik's Darkchild mode being unlimited.
