2025 has been an incredible year for indie games, whether they be ones like Hollow Knight: Silksong that we were anticipating, or welcome surprises like Blue Prince. Turns out it isn't quite done adding to the welcome surprise category just yet, as one day after launching, Ball x Pit has rocketed up the Steam charts.
At the time of typing this, Kenny Sun's indie hit is the sixth best-selling game on Steam, although it has dropped slightly from its peak as there was a point where Ball x Pit was even outselling EA Sports FC 26. An impressive feat wherever you are in the world, but even more impressive when you consider I'm based in the UK, so the chart I'm looking at is based on Steam sales in a country where people live and breathe the series formerly known as FIFA.
While it might have dropped just below the latest installment in the EA Sports FC franchise, Ball x Pit is still outselling some other very big names.
