YouTuber Blurbs is back with yet another cursed Red Dead Redemption 2 mod, this time turning the entire game into one big open-world rootin' and tootin' Mortal Kombat.
The idea is simple: run up to anyone, or, I guess, any animal - like a grizzly bear or a deer - and you can initiate a 1v1 fight to the death, complete with fatalities, by punching them. Blurbs starts by wailing on Gavin's friend, but before long, they're turning "kowboys" into big geysers of blood, and throwing Micah into an oncoming train... on top of a mountain, nowhere near train tracks. Finally, the 'good' ending.
Burbs also added ghosts, NPCs who are... bombs?, and memories that play out when you murder people to make you feel even guiltier.
It's a little janky, but considering that it was put together in just two days, it's an impressive feat of modding. If you've ever played a Mortal Kombat game, it'll be immediately familiar, right down to the signature intro with the announcer yelling, 'FIGHT' - just instead of throwing hands with Scorpion, you're beating on Dutch and random townsfolk. And alligators.
