The State Of Legends Z-A Has Fans Giving Up Hope That Pokemon Could Ever Improve

Typically, when a new Pokemon title releases, it's a time for celebration. After all, few franchises elicit a childlike wonder and glee quite like Pokemon does all these years later. Except, that hasn't been the case with Pokemon Legends: Z-A, as the game currently maintains an almost unfathomable 4.3 Metacritic user score, and that might not even hold up.

Whether it's the lacklustre visuals or a map that is seemingly smaller than a bag of potato chips, things have not been pretty in Pokemon world. Things have gotten bad enough, that some hardcore fans are cautioning others to just accept that this current post-Legends: ZA reality is likely the norm moving forward.

Over on Reddit, a thread titled "This is modern Pokemon and there is no reason to expect it to get better" has currently dominated the leaderboards of the r/Pokemon sub.

The thread is exactly what you'd imagine it to be, hardcore fans in disbelief that things have fallen this far.
