EA Is Pulling Support For The Sims Mobile, Making It Unplayable In January

If you have ever wanted to try The Sims Mobile, then you better download it right now, because EA is removing it from app stores tomorrow. Following this delisting, The Sims Mobile will go offline on January 2026, making it completely unplayable.

This comes seven years after the launch of The Sims Mobile, but also at a time when the gaming community is calling on companies to preserve online games like this. This might be an indicator that EA isn't paying much atttention, as there are no plans to preserve The Sims Mobile after it's taken offline in January.

"We have some sad news today," reads a statement from EA. "After seven years and more than 50 updates, The Sims Mobile is releasing its final update. From January 20, 2026, at 1:59 PM UTC, TSM will no longer be accessible to play and will be sunset."

The statement goes on to explain that as of today, you will no longer be able to make in-app purchases either. There will be no refunds for any in-game currency you have left, but you can spend it in-game until January 20.
