When Halo: Combat Evolved hit the shelves in 2001, it was at the front of the pack in terms of graphics and gameplay, and instantly became one of the most popular games on the market—everybody wanted to be Master Chief.

Twenty-five years later and there's no end in sight for the beloved franchise, as the newly rebranded Halo Studios has revealed all future Halo games will be developed using Unreal Engine 5, and that's only just the tip of the iceberg.

The Halo World Championships are taking place on October 24th, where Halo Studios will reveal more information about one of their ongoing projects, while a leak from Rebs Gaming claims the announcement could be a Halo: Combat Evolved Remake that's being co-developed by Virtuous studio, Abstraction.
