Right now, if you're a Silent Hill fan, then things could not be better. The franchise is at its most healthiest, having released Silent Hill 2 Remake and Silent Hill f, plus word that the original Silent Hill will also receive the remake treatment. That's not even counting Silent Hill: Townfall, which has yet to release.
That said, it wasn't too long ago that Silent Hill as a franchise was in the dumps and morale surrounding the horror series was at an all-time low. Things took a turn for the better in October 2022, when multiple Silent Hill projects were announced, and as it turns out, there's a reason why Konami chose that route.
As first spotted by Automaton Media, series producer Motoi Okamoto took to social media to explain why Silent Hill and Konami made a bombardment of announcements in Oct. '22 (SH 2 Remake, SH f, SH Townfall).
