Bethesda was pioneering long development cycles before all of these copycats came along. If you are unfortunate enough to be a fan of Fallout or The Elder Scrolls, you know what I mean. For years, we've queued up waiting for it to be our turn to get a sequel - although this time, we've both been waiting behind Starfield. Because we really did need another IP thrown into the mix.
Some fans have gotten their hopes up anyway, as we're getting a Fallout Day livestream from Bethesda this week. Set for October 23, we'll be getting some news from the Fallout series after all, but Bethesda is already trying to adjust our expectations. Judging from the wording, we're not getting any news on Fallout 5, the rumoured Fallout 3 remaster, or any spin-offs, as we're told that the livestream will only focus on "current titles".
