Marvel Rivals has answered the prayers of its community with its Zombies PvE mode, launching later this month. Inspired by the Marvel Zombies Disney+ show, and probably Overwatch 2's fumble on its own PvE mode, you'll get to choose between five powered up heroes to face off against hordes of zombies, and eventually take on Zombie Namor and the Dead Queen, Scarlet Witch.
This mode will let you play as Blade, Magik, Punisher, Thor, or Jeff, each with amped up powers and unique abilities to deal with the horde and its generals. However, it seems this PvE mode may not be a one-time thing for Marvel Rivals. Marvel Games executive producer Danny Koo has hinted that more such modes could be on the way.
In an interview with Gosu Gamers, Koo revealed that the mode came into being after a conversation with Marvel Animation, who told them about the Marvel Zombies show. This prompted some of the devs to think of a PvE mode based on the series, with a similar cast of characters. "t was a natural fit. The dev team saw it."
