No Man's Sky Gets Yet Another Free Update, This Time With Wreck Salvaging

A "little more than a month ago", Hello Games dropped an update that brought No Man's Sky to a new all-time peak playercount. As fresh as that seems, it's all old news now, as the next free update to No Man's Sky has already dropped. The "Breach" update is all about salvaging ship parts from a dead universe.

Taking apparent inspiration from the success of last update, this new update offers a ton of new ways for you to customize your spaceship. The blog post discussing the update makes special mention of how inspired the devs were by seeing the creativity of the game's players, and the Breach update expands the game ever further in that direction.

"It has provided some of my favorite moments of these last nine years of development," the post reads, "seeing these beautiful, creative, sci-fi ships that other players have built. It has made us instantly excited to work on a new update!"

As for the contents of the update itself, the "Breach Expedition" will take you into something very much in the Halloween spirit. You'll drift among the haunting wrecks of destroyed spaceships, potentially stumbling into the remains of the Fireship Arcadia...
