Obsidian Showed Up At Fallout Day Just To Say Play New Vegas

Fallout fans haven't had all that much to cheer about in recent years, at least when it comes to the gaming side of the franchise. Sure, there's a pretty good show being made and Fallout 76 is still getting regular updates, but with The Elder Scrolls 6 now in development for lord knows how long, we might not get a brand-new Fallout game for at least half a decade.

Still, Bethesda has the classics to fall back on. With the anniversary of Fallout: New Vegas having been and gone, many had hoped that this year's big Fallout Day broadcast would bring with it that remaster that we're all craving, even despite Bethesda making it clear there was going to be nothing of the sort at the show. There was part of me hoping that Bethesda was fibbing too, and for a second, it seemed as though they might have been.

Around halfway through the show, Obsidian managed to raise the blood pressure of every New Vegas fan on the planet by stopping by for an announcement regarding the game's 15th anniversary.
