It's been just over seven months since Assassin's Creed Shadows first launched and about one month since its first major expansion, Claws of Awaji, first debuted, but Ubisoft is continuing to refine and update Shadows for its millions of players.
On October 23rd, Shadows' Associate Game Director, Simon Lemay-Comtois, announced that Ubisoft is far from improving the player experience in Shadows and that the game will be receiving multiple free major updates this fall season.
The first update will drop just a few days from now on Tuesday, October 28th, while the second update will debut on Tuesday, November 25th, exactly a week after Assassin's Creed Mirage is slated to receive its free Valley of Memory DLC.
On top of these free updates, Lemay-Comtois and other members of Ubisoft Quebec announced that Shadows will finally make its way to the Nintendo Switch 2 on Tuesday, December 2nd with cross-progression and all prior content drops and updates, save for the Claws of Awaji DLC which will launch on the mobile console later in 2026.
