Developer Fumi Games and publisher Playside Studios have officially announced the release date for Mouse: P.I. For Hire—a first-person shooter with an old-school animation style reminiscent of the first Disney cartoons. Unlike the cartoons of yore, Mouse: P.I. For Hire isn't family-friendly.
Today, we got a new trailer announcing the game's release date after a recent delay.
Mouse: P.I. For Hire Lets You Shoot Enemies As Mickey Mouse
While it doesn't say it, clearly the character is modeled after Disney's Mickey Mouse, after Steamboat Willie entered the public domain. Given we'll never ever see Mickey wield a gun, this is the next best thing (after a keyblade, at least). If you ever wanted to have Mickey Mouse go to town on other characters that irked him, Mouse: P.I. For Hire kind of lets you do that.
You'll have to wait a few months before you can do so, however, as Mouse: P.I. For Hire is releasing on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC on March 19, 2026.
