Nintendo is finally in a position where it can welcome high-end third-party games onto its platform, thanks to the Switch 2. Several of the biggest names from the past few years have already appeared on the new platform, with many more announced. There are still some notable omissions, though, one of them being Baldur's Gate 3.
Most would have assumed as recently as a year ago that the idea of Baldur's Gate 3 on a Nintendo system was a pipedream, especially when you consider the splitscreen issues the game had on the Xbox Series S. Now that games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Star Wars Outlaws have been shown to run, and run well, on the Switch 2, it feels like almost anything is possible.
That might mean one day, we will be able to play Baldur's Gate 3 on our Switch 2s, and while there has still been no official word on when, or even if, that might happen, reliable leaker NatetheHate has provided a promising, albeit pretty minor, update on the situation.
