Kirby Air Riders just had its second dedicated Nintendo Direct. It was a whopper, running for a full hour, but between director Masahiro Sakurai's inexhaustible charisma and a seriously impressive suite of new information, I doubt very much that most viewers were mentally checked out by the end.

The full thing's worth a watch, but one of the many recent reveals that's been drawing particular attention is Air Riders' commitment to providing a plethora of detailed accessibility options. Nintendo's not always on the ball about this stuff, and while many of us won't tap into these features, some absolutely will — and in certain cases, they simply can't play the game without them. It's worth highlighting just how much attention accessibility has gotten during development.
