A built from the ground up remake of Halo: Combat Evolved using Unreal Engine 5, Halo: Campaign Evolved is the first official game developed by Halo Studios following its rebranding from 343 Industries.
Not only is Campaign Evolved a remake of Combat Evolved, but it will also be the first ever Halo game to be playable on PlayStation platforms as CE will be debuting on Xbox platforms, Steam, and PlayStation 5 simultaneously.
This follows Xbox President Sarah Bond's perspective of console-exclusive games being "antiquated" and Xbox slowly porting its previously Xbox-exclusive franchises to PlayStation 5 as seen with Gears of War: Reloaded and Sea of Thieves, among others.
